Alfred Jerome Filer was born on November 9, 1960, in Daytona Beach, Florida to the late Phillip and Lottie Filer. The Lord picked his lily out of the valley on November 5, 2023.

Alfred loved working on lawns, fishing, hunting and having fun with everybody.

Alfred was preceded in death by Shonda Evette Filer (niece), Travis D. Hubbert Jr. (nephew) and Bernice Cord (sister-in-law).

He leaves to cherish his memory sister Grace Robinson (Herman); brothers: Phillip Filer Jr. and Steven Filer (Tish); kids he helped raised: Shericka Cooper (James), Calvin Robinson (JaKesha), Travis D. Hubbert Sr. (Marquita) other group: Regina Cook (Trent), Steven Filer Jr., and Phil Filer (Antonette); three amazing aunts and one strong uncle Joe Filer; also, the wonderful neighborhood he was raised in – Thanks neighborhood family; two loyal friends: Teresa Burke and James Williams and a host of loyal cousins and friends that he loved in his own way.
