Christa Dorcelus 69, of Orlando, Florida transitioned into eternal rest on Friday September 27, 2024 at Cornerstone Hospice in Orlando, Florida. Christa Dorcelus was born on March 21, 1955, in Haiti, to the late Mr. Dumorat and Mrs. Amira Laguerre. She was a beacon of light and warmth to all who knew her, not only as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother but also as an extraordinary woman who embraced life to its fullest. Christa was a lifelong learner whose educational journey began in Haiti, where she pursued her passion for knowledge and earned a degree in Electronic Engineering. Her love for numbers and problem-solving led her to a fulfilling career as an Electronic Engineer in Haiti. Yet, she was much more than her profession—Christa was a Renaissance woman, seamlessly blending her intellectual pursuits with a deep love for nurturing others. She spoke four languages, allowing her to connect meaningfully with people from diverse backgrounds.
Her vibrant spirit found a perfect home at Disney, where she worked for over 20 years, sharing her warmth and joy with guests from all over the world. Christa didn’t just go to work; she spread magic, bringing smiles to countless faces with her kind words and helpful nature.
At home, Christa was the heart and soul of her family. Her kitchen was a place where love simmered in the flavorful dishes she prepared, and her sewing needles wove warmth into every stitch of fabric. She was a woman of strong faith, dedicating herself to guiding others and embodying selfless service. Her family was everything to her. Christa was the comforting embrace we all leaned on, the wise counsel we sought, and the joyous laughter that filled our hearts. Her memory will forever be cherished by her beloved husband of 35 years, Chenet Dorcelus; her children—Christy Stringer and Audrey Dorcelus; and her treasured grandson, Solomon, who affectionately called her "Abuela." She will also be dearly remembered by her siblings, loving cousins, extended family, cherished friends, and co-workers who will always recall her radiant smile, generous spirit, and loving nature.
Christa’s legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched and in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. Her love knew no bounds, and her light will continue to shine brightly in our memories.
