  Joaquin Velaz Vera 77, of Deltona, Florida transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday February 04, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born to parents Antonio Vera and Herminia Velez on November 19,1947 in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico. Joaquin met and married the love of his life Alba Costro, October 5, 1969 in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico and enjoyed over 55 years of marriage. He worked as a machine operator for many years before moving to Florida in 2002. In 2003 he began working as a tire technician. He was a member of  Puerta Del Cielo of Deltona under the leadership of Pastor Nathaniel Colon. He loved God, his church and attending his worship services until he was no longer able to attend. As a father, he was the beacon of love for his children. A gentle spirited man, who touched everyone he encountered. As a husband, he was devoted and cherished his wife until the very end and as a grandfather, with endless patience and such a playful nature always created lasting memories that will forever warm our hearts. His love and kindness had no limit and was boundless. His infectious laughter and wisdom was a guiding light throughout his life storms. Joaquin enjoyed his many hobbies, working on his cars, caring for his birds and dogs. He loved working in his yard and garden. He will be missed by all who knew him. Absent from our presence, Joaquin will forever live on in the hearts of his loving wife Alba. His daughters Diana Flood and Ileana Delgazdo of Deltona. His son Joaquin Vera of Bonkonkoma, NY. His 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 6 sisters and 3 brothers. A host of other family members and Friends.
