It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Judy Laverne Gray. Judy passed away peacefully at Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford, Florida on Tuesday morning July 23, 2024. She will be interred at All Faiths Memorial Park, in Casselberry, Florida on Saturday July 27. She will be buried with her late husband, Clyde Julian Gray who passed away in 2007. Judy moved to Florida, in 1983 with her husband, Clyde, and five of her children. Judy and Clyde wed in 1961 and were married for 46 years. She was a stay-at-home mom most of her adulthood, raising six children, but later tried her hand at working in retail after her children grew up. At the time of her passing she was living with her youngest child, Judy Lyn, and three of her grandchildren, Celeste Echo Rodriguez, Sean Patrick McCurry & Nickolas Ryan McCurry in Sanford. Judy had 14 grandchildren in total. Judy enjoyed going to the movies, especially on a hot summer day. She loved reading and usually carried a book around with her wherever she went. She was a regular at the Sanford, downtown library. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and will be sorely missed. Judy is survived by five of her children, Brian Lenn Gray, Dana Colleen Dre, Gary Anthony Gray, Julia Annette Gray, and Judy Lyn Gray, but lost her eldest son Keith Dale Gray last summer. She is also survived by her brother Gary Watkins, and sisters Donna Haney, Sheri Tyson, Karen Armstrong and Candy Alford.
