Retha Fay Brown, 94, From Lake Helen, Florida went to be with the Lord, July 18, 2022. Fay was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and was the daughter of the late Earnest A. Oakley and Callie Elizabeth (White) Oakley. Cherishing her memory are daughters; Deborah Ann Peeler of Gaffney South Carolina, Paula (Laszlo) Kovacs of Memphis Tennessee, and Patricia (Daniel) Arnsdorff of Lake Helen, Florida. She leaves behind her sister Theola Hood of Columbia Tennessee as well as nine grandchildren and eleven great- grandchildren who will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marion Charles Brown, Parents, Earnest and Callie Oakley, brothers Harvell, Wallace, and Finis (C.L.) Oakley, and her sister Captola Reed. Fay was married to her sweetheart, Charles, for 53 years and cherished her family greatly. In life she opened her home to many and has left a legacy of faith, family, and gratitude. She will be greatly missed; but forever remembered in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
