Sonja Natisha McCoy was born on November 3rd, 1975 in Sanford, Florida to Margaret Jenkins and Johnny Brown. She attend Seminole County Public Schools and she would be known affectionately by friends as "Mook". A daughter of Sanford, she would reside within the city working within various retail organizations. She was known as someone who loved her family and was a upbeat who brought joy to many and will be missed.

Sonja was preceded in death by both her grandparents KC and Edna Burgess, She leaves to cherish her memory Parents Margaret and Virgil Jenkins, Johnny Brown; Sisters Elisa Cain and Crystal Fuller; Brother Chris Cotton; God Children Carlos Burke and Lil D; God Sisters Sheldrina Richards and Summer Salter; Uncles John Felton(Delores), John Burgess, Kenny Jackson; Aunts Pearl Jackson, Olivia Knight, Annie Jean Burgess, Linda Burgess and Sabrina Jones; Three Neices; Two Nephews; a close friend Chris Hunter and a host of other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
