In humble submission to the will of God, we the Management & Staff of People's Choice Mortuary extends our deepest condolences and prayers to The Robinson Family as we announce the passing of Ms. Tressa M. Robinson 80 of Deltona, Florida formerly from Seville, Florida from who answered The Master Call on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Advent Health Hospice Orange City, Florida. Tressie Mae Robinson, née Andrews, was born on January 29, 1944, in Soperton, Georgia, to Wilhmena Ramsey, née Wilcher, and Horace Andrews, both of whom have passed on. Her sunset came on August 16, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. Tressie's legacy of hard work, compassion, and joy lives on through her three children: Priscilla A. Ledbetter, Joseph J. Ledbetter Jr., and Marcella M. Robinson; five grandchildren: Cheraé L. Robinson, Joseph Ledbetter-Powell, Wesley F. Amos Jr., Dale Spencer Jr., and Tianna E. Martin; and four great-grandchildren: Sedwick "Trace" Willis Jr., Ajani Amos, Jada Amos, and Amari Amos. She was also the oldest sister to her beloved siblings: Anita Thomas, Gloria Andrews, Thomas Andrews, Patricia Bell, Anette Manley, and Tommy Andrews (deceased). Known affectionately as "Tressa," Tressie was born into humble beginnings but led an inspirational life dedicated to caring for her family and others in all she did. Early in her career, she worked as a nurse's aide and later as a Certified Nursing Assistant, providing comfort and care to patients in hospitals, homes, and care centers. Her nurturing spirit wasn't confined to healthcare; she also pursued a passion for cosmetology. What began as a whim blossomed into a beloved profession, where Tressie’s flair for style made her a successful beautician and the owner of two salons in Bayshore, NY. Her salons became community hubs, known for her skill, warmth, and welcoming nature. Tressie had a zest for life that took her far beyond her small-town roots. She delighted in culinary adventures, exploring the world with family and friends, and always did it with flair and a touch of sass. Whether hosting gatherings, dancing to James Brown, or sharing her famous pumpkin bread, Tressie’s joy for life was infectious and brought light and laughter to everyone around her. A woman of deep faith, Tressie developed her relationship with Christ as a youth at St. John Baptist Church in Seville, FL. In New York, she was a longtime member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Brentwood, NY, where she served in the choir and on various committees. After relocating to Deltona, FL, she continued her faith journey with New Hope Baptist Church.
Tressie will be deeply missed by all who knew her and felt the warmth of her presence. Her legacy of love, hard work, and joyous living will continue to inspire all who carry her memory in their hearts.
