Vinne A. Rodney, 81 of Deltona, Florida answered the Master's Call on  Monday, February 27, 2023 at her residence; surrounded by her loving family. Vinnie Ara Rodney was born January 18,1942 to loving parents Joseph and Ida May Stewart in Kingston, Jamaica West Indies. Vinne was one of 6 children born to Joseph and Ida May. She attended Nursing School at Kingston Public Hospital specializing in Midwifery, there attained her Nursing Degree and License in Jamaica. Vinne met Derief Wilmot Rodney of Oracabessa/St. Mary,Jamaica West Indies while he was enrolled in the Jamaica Constabulary Force Academy in Kingston, while still attending Nursing School and would later marry. They would welcome their Son, Richard Antonio Rodney in December 1968. In 1973 they made the decision to emigrate to the United States of America. First settling in Brooklyn, New York, where Vinnie worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Barnabas Hospital in  Bronx, New York. Vinne competed in Track and Field also Basketball as a Middle and High School student, she was a lifelong fan of the New York Mets and the New York Yankees. Vinne was well respected professionally and loved by all who knew her profession and in life. Though absent from this life, Vinnie will forever live on in the hearts of her devoted Son: Richard, loving Granddaughter: Samantha. Oldest sibling her Sister: Marjory Kelly, and youngest sibling  her Brother: Daniel Stewart. A host of Nieces, Nephews, In laws in the Stewart and Rodney Families and many friends through her personal and professional life.
